North Wales Indoor Junior CRICKET League 2026

What is happening ?

• 144 - juniors playing weekly in the North Wales indoor junior league.
• 135 - total number of matches - 135 hours of cricket (Silly calc of 135 matches x 12 Juniors each match = 1620).
• 52 - teams will play this year.
• 43 - runs made by Ruturaj Gaikwad in 2022 in one over (Maharashtra v Uttar Pradesh in Ahmedabad, India - 2022)
• 17 - clubs supporting this league - Thank you.
• 12 - matches played each weekend, over 12 weeks between January -> March.
• 11 - leagues in the(East & West; for U9, U11, U13, U15 and importantly, the 1st year for U11 Girls & U13/U15 Girls
• 10 - out of ten score for those volunteer coaches who give their valuable time - We salute you ! e/li>
• 9 - letters for the word 'redivider'; the longest palindrome in the English language. Very few in Welsh - You know different?
• 8 - ball overs were last seen in cricket around 1979 (predominantly Australia & South Africa).
• 7 - Deadly Sins from Christian teachings are wrath, sloth, pride, lust, gluttony, envy, and greed) but in cricket terms, they are: a wide ball, a no ball, a dropped catch, catch over the boundary, a ball through your legs while fielding, forgetting your box, stepping back on your own wicket. ... Shudder !
• 6 - players per team in this league.
• 5 - balls per over in this league. Trying to keep the match to within an hour and not be rushed.
• 4 - seasons of cricket; The winter indoor season - spring training - the summer matches - the well deserved autumn break
• 3 - leisure centres used (Deeside LC / Deeside College (Coleg Cambria) / David Hughes LC in Menai).
• 2 - 2 leagues; split into East and West
• 1 - winner; Cricket - Brilliant !
